Description

The most simple and tasty side!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dry Macaroni Noodles
  • 1 can (14.5 Oz.) Diced Tomatoes
  • ¼ cups Tomato Sauce
  • ½ teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Boil macaroni noodles in a pot of salted water according to package instructions until tender. Then drain the noodles, return macaroni to the pot, add tomatoes, sauce, and salt. Return to heat and bring to a boil, simmer til heated through. Enjoy!!

My family has eaten mac & maters as long as I can remember (but without the tomato sauce). Kick it up a notch (to quote Emeril) and use a can of Rotel instead of plain tomatoes.

My mom made this when I was little and it was a favorite of mine. I don’t think she used tomato sauce in hers though but I know she seasoned it with pepper. Nothing simpler!

Wondering why you didn’t add a huge chunk of butter to your macaroni and tomatoes like we do, I understood after seeing your profession on your website. We’re just in denial (What? Heart healthy?). LOL
