Description

My friend Tammie shared this recipe with me that her grandmother made for years.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Hash Brown Potatotes (square-cut)
  • 8 ounces, weight Sour Cream
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • ½ cups Melted Butter
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

Combine all ingredients well. (I find it helpful to let the potatoes thaw halfway, otherwise it ends up in a big lump!) Dump into a 9×13 pan. I sometimes top this with buttered bread crumbs, or corn flake crumbs. Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes.

This is awesome! And easy too! I used frozen shredded hash browns instead of cubed. Delish!

A tasty side when you’re tired of the same old stuff. I used shredded hash browns found in the dairy case instead of frozen. I also added garlic and onion powder to the mix. Might try adding bacon or french fried onions next time. Thanks Tammy.
