Description

These yummy muffins give ground meat new appeal. They can be made in large muffin tins or in the mini muffin tins as hot appetizers on a party plate.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices White Or Whole Wheat Day Old Bread
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped Fine
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Cumin
  • ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • ½ cups Water
  • ½ cups Sour Cream

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut 4-inch circles out of the slices of bread. (Use the rest for crumbs or feed to the birds.) Butter one side and press into the muffin pan. butter side down, creating a cup. Set aside.

Grate cheese, set aside.

Brown the meat, onions and garlic. Add flour and seasoning, mixing evenly, then add water and sour cream, mixing well to create a thick meat mixture.

Fill the bread-lined muffins and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with cheese, then bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Yummy!

I have made these a few times in mini muffin tins and they are the first thing to go at the party! Everyone LOVES them! I also use spray butter for the bread to save some time. YUMMY!
