Description

Dog treats that are so good they’ll be smacking their lips. The blueberries are an extra special treat and the parsley helps eliminate bad breath.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • ½ cups Wheat Germ
  • ¾ cups Beef Or Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Smooth Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cups Chopped Parsley
  • ¼ cups Dried Blueberries

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

In a bowl combine the flour, wheat germ, chicken broth and peanut butter.

Fold in the parsley and dried blueberries.

Roll the dough out onto a floured surface (the dough should be about 1/4″ thick). Cut the dough into rectangles or use your favorite cookie cutter to cut out shapes.

Bake for 20 minutes (or until golden brown). Let cool and serve.

How do you store these?

I agree with twocanskillet – I think a small amount of garlic here is fine. I once had a vet tell me that a little bit of garlic is good a dog’s digestion. I have given it to my dogs many times when cooking for them.

Hi corgimom, thanks for the tip. It looks like garlic is only toxic in mass amounts but it is always better to err on the safe side.

Everything I read tells me that garlic is bad (poisonous?) for dogs. I would leave is out when making these!
