I learned this trick from my mom. She didn’t believe in running to the grocery store if we ran out of something while cooking. We made do with what we had at home.
Sift flour into a bowl and sprinkle salt over it. In a separate bowl whisk the eggs and the water together and pour over the flour. Mix well with your hands. When a dough starts to form, turn it out onto a floured board or counter and knead until the dough is stiff. Roll out very thin and cut into strips with a sharp knife or a pasta rotary cutter.
Allow noodles to air dry and store in Ziploc bags or airtight storage containers. Use them in your regular cooking just like you would use store-bought.

Really want to try making my own noodles. About how long does it take for them to dry before using/storing them?

Thank you for posting this. I had the recipe in my head, but wanted to double check. A lot of people WAY over complicate the homemade noodle.

I, too, learned from Mom and my Grandma to make noodles at a very young age because chicken and noodles was my favorite meal and still is. Thanks for sharing.

My mom taught me to make these as well. They are ridiculously easy to make and taste so much better than store-bought noodles. I always make them when I do homemade chicken noodle soup. Definitely let the noodles dry before adding them to your meal–the resulting texture is so worth it! Thanks for posting!
