You can’t go wrong with bacon, cheddar and jalapenos mixed into a delicious warm bread.

This is a slightly sweet spoon bread that is great with chili!

Southern cornbread with enough sugar to make it feel like home. Serve in a cast iron skillet next to chili to warm up these cold winter months.

Perfect for a BBQ side dish, added to hamhock beans for a main dish, or simply by itself with a pat of butter and a drizzle of honey. This recipe has been handed down from my Grandma Stella, a.k.a. Grammy, and is by far my family’s favorite cornbread recipe. Extremely simple and can be made into a sweet cornbread by adjusting the volume of sugar (included in recipe).

Perfect on a cold morning, a slice of this moist cornbread will fill your belly with happiness! Not overly sweet, with just enough chocolate to keep it interesting. Add lots of butter and a glass of cold milk!

This was my Grandma’s recipe for many years. We eat this recipe with butter and honey almost every time I make chili. Homey, comforting, yummy!

If you’re looking for a flavor adventure, try spicing up your dressing with the addition of tamales. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a zesty deep-fried turkey!

This is one of the best cornbreads I have ever had. I normally don’t like cornbread because it is so dry, but this is very moist with just a little kick to get rid of that blah taste.
It is not too spicy at all. My mother-in-law who is extremely sensitive to spicy foods thought it was very good.

Cornbread is good. What makes it even better is cheese, scallions, and jalapenos. Irresistible.

Everyone knows Paula Deen, but do you know her boys? I found this recipe of theirs and it was a huge hit at our house. Hope you try it!

Warm, gooey corn spoonbread kicked up with sauteed onion and poblano bits.
