Description

Sweet cherries turned into sweet cherry preserves. Enjoy them year round.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Sweet Cherries, Halved And Pitted
  • 4 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon, Ground
  • 2 packages Pectin, Powdered
  • 8 cups Sugar

Preparation

Mix cherries, lemon juice, lime juice, and cinnamon in a large pot and heat over medium-high heat until it starts to bubble. Add the pectin and boil over high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add the sugar, and bring to a hard boil. Then stir constantly for one minute. Remove from heat.

Pour into sterilized 1/2 pint jars leaving 1/4″ space, and process for 10 minutes in a waterbath canner.

Makes 8-10 1/2 pint jars.
