Description

Great holiday appetizer, easy to prepare, and lots of fun to serve family and friends!

Ingredients

  • 12 slices Sourdough Bread
  • 1 package (8 Oz. Size) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ¼ cups Monterey Jack Pepper Cheese Shredded
  • ⅓ cups Sour Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 jar (4 Oz. Size) Pimentos, Drained
  • 3 stalks Scallions, Cut Into Small Pieces On The Bias, For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF. You will need two 9″ x 12″ nonstick baking sheet pans, or liberally coat regular sheet pans with your favorite cooking spray.

Cut ends off each slice of bread. Cut each slice of bread into triangles.

In a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and stir well to incorporate ingredients. Add black pepper and pimentos (you can chop pimentos if desired). Using a spatula, combine well.

Using a small offset spatula, spread mixture on each triangle of sourdough bread. Place on baking sheet pan. You may have to bake these in batches. Place in the oven and bake 4 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter. Repeat until all sourdough bread triangles are done.

Add a small scallion or two on top of each baked pimento triangle for garnish. Enjoy!
