Description

This is my attempt to replicate a fruit dip that I recently had at a catered wedding reception. The honey and cinnamon combination reminded me of eating sopapillas!

This tastes wonderful with apples, strawberries, melon, and pineapple.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plain Lowfat Yogurt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3-½ Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Preparation

In a bowl, mix yogurt, vanilla, honey, and cinnamon together with a fork until very well combined. For a less sweet and tangier dip, use only 2 tablespoons honey.

Refrigerate and serve with the fruit of your choice, use as a dip with cookies, or drizzle over ice cream or warm brownies.

I made this for a brunch this weekend, and it was delicious! I served it with green apples, strawberries, and grapes. The apples are particularly good with the cinnamon.

I’m going to try this in a week or 2 when strawberries are a little riper. It sounds like it’ll be great.

I usually don’t enjoy anything with yogurt, but this is seriously yummy. I served it with fruit kabobs & it was a popular item on the appetizer buffet!
