Description

This cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for Halloween parities or Thanksgiving! It is adorable, easy to make and a total crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 package (1.1 Oz. Size) Fiesta Ranch Dip Mix
  • ½  Bell Pepper, Chopped Small (Save Stem)
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 2  Green Onions, Finely Chopped
  • ¾ cups Finely Crushed Cheddar Chips (I Use Pringles Cheddar Cheese Chips)

Preparation

You will also need a piece of yarn for making lines on the pumpkin.

Add all ingredients except the crushed cheddar chips to a bowl and mix till combined. Shape the cheese into a ball or pumpkin shape and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in the fridge till firm (about 2 hours).

Crush the cheddar chips in a plastic back using a rolling pin till fine. Roll the cheese ball in the crushed chips and top with the bell pepper stem.

Using the clean yarn, press the yarn into the cheese ball starting at the top and make your way down to the bottom. I did this 4 times.

Serve with crackers, black bean chips, veggies, etc.

Notes:
1. If you can’t find cheddar cheese pringles, you could use nacho doritos. The texture and look will be a little different. If you want to make this a Jack O Lantern, you can use olives or black tortilla chips to create a face.
2. If you can’t find the fiesta ranch mix, you could sub in some cumin and salsa. I really like the flavor of the fiesta ranch though!

A very quick dish indeed! I was looking for some recipes before Halloween and what’s a pity I found it too late. If only it has been 2 days earlier!
I desperately want to try it, but I guess I won’t be understood if I cook it for Thanksgiving.
