Description

This is the most requested cheese ball I have ever made. Can’t remember where I got this recipe, but it is a keeper!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 Oz. Size) Cream Cheese
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 8 ounces, weight Monterey Jack Shredded Cheesse
  • ¼ cups Blue Cheese, Crumbled
  • ¼ cups Finely Minced Green Onions (white Part Only)
  • 1 jar (2 Oz. Size) Diced Pimento
  • 10 slices Bacon Cooked Crisp And Crumbled
  • ¾ cups Pecans, Chopped
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, Or To Taste
  • ¼ cups Minced Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Poppy Seeds

Preparation

Place cream cheese in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer. Turn to speed 2 and mix 1 minute. Scrape bowl. Staying on speed 2, gradually add milk, mixing until well blended, about 1 minute. Scrape bowl. Add cheeses, onions, pimentos, half of the bacon and half of the pecans. Turn to speed 4 and beat until well blended, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer half of mixture to large piece of plastic wrap. Form into a ball, wrap tightly. Repeat with remaining half of mixture. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or until firm.

Combine remaining bacon, pecans, parsley, and poppy seeds in a pie plate or large dinner plate. Remove plastic from each cheese ball, roll in bacon mixture until well coated. Wrap in clean plastic and store in refrigerator until ready to serve, up to 24 hours.

I brought this to our first tailgate party of the season, and everybody LOVED it!! I got so many compliments! Luckily, we had a little bit left over to take home, and the next day my husband and I spread it on bread and topped it with turkey to make a sandwich. Oh man, was it GOOOOOOD!! Thanks for a great recipe!

This is a WONDERFUL and different cheeseball. Made this for the first time for the Super Bowl last year and it has been my go to ever since. Always gets requests for the recipe.
