Description

These crispy and spicy little bites are very addictive. You have been warned!

Ingredients

  • ½ gallons Oil, For Frying
  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Cooked Chicken
  • ⅓ cups Finely Chopped Cabbage
  • 1 whole Carrot, Grated
  • 1 whole Celery Stalk Finely Chopped
  • ½ cups Saucy Mama Hot Wing Sauce
  • 1 package (12 Oz. Package) Wonton Wrappers
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten With A Little Water
  • 1 cup Blue Cheese Dressing, For Serving

Preparation

In a deep-sided pot, heat your oil to 350F using a thermometer. Meanwhile, mix together chicken, cabbage, carrot, celery and wing sauce.

Lay out a few wrappers and put a teaspoon of filling in the middle of each.

Brush all 4 sides with a little egg wash and then fold wrapper over and press out all the air and seal the edges.

You can then either leave them in triangles or, for a more bite size package, fold the corners in to create a little purse. Continue until all the wontons are done.

Gently drop 4 or 5 wontons in the hot oil at a time, frying until golden brown all over, about 1-2 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve with blue cheese dipping sauce and enjoy!

Delicious! Quite time consuming to make up so keep that in mind if you want to prepare them, however they are worth it. Don’t forget the blue cheese or ranch to dip them in because they do have a little kick. Great for a football party.

I made these for a party this weekend. I subbed chopped chives for the celery, because I was out of celery. They are very, very good and I’ll be making them again.

These were really good. I don’t normally fry food, but these were worth it. They will definitely be made again!

These were awesome. Had never deep fried before but was simple enough to do even with an anxious husband guarding the kids. Made exactly 10 servings.
