Description

Crispy wonton cup filled with cheese ranch dressing and sausage.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Spicy Pork Sausage, Cooked
  • 1-½ cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1-½ cup Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Ranch Dressing
  • 2-¼ ounces, weight Canned Sliced Black Olives
  • ½ cups Chopped Red Peppers
  • 1 package (about 12 Oz. Package) Wonton Wrappers
  • Vegetable Oil

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Blot the sausage dry with a paper towel, and crumble into a bowl. Combine the cheese, dressing, olives and peppers with the sausage. Set aside.

Lightly grease a muffin pan with either oil or Pam cooking spray. Press a wonton square into each of the muffin cups, brush with lightly with oil, and bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from tin and cool. Repeat until all of the wontons have been baked.

Place the baked wontons on a baking sheet and fill each of the stars (wontons) with the sausage mixture. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes or until they bubble.

This recipe makes 4-5 dozen and is a great appetizer for any occasion.

I thought these little stars were wonderful…since I knew the people I was making them for were not all black olive fans…I used well drained green chilies instead….they were so tasty. Easy to make..Easy to handle and eat…and a eye catching treat.
