Description

These little sandwiches are a cinch to make, taste delicious and are a delicate appetizer. I serve these at baby/wedding showers and family get-togethers, and always get a request for the recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise (REAL Mayonnaise Please!)
  • 1 envelope (1 Oz. Packet) Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
  • 1 loaf French Bread (or Similar), Cut Into 3/4" Thick Slices
  • 2 whole Cucumbers Peeled And Sliced
  • Dill Weed

Preparation

Mix together cream cheese, mayo, and Italian dressing mix. Refrigerate for at least two hours, or up to overnight. Spread cream cheese mixture on the bread slices. Top each with a slice (or two) of cucumber, then sprinkle each lightly with dill weed. May be covered and refrigerated until ready to serve.

These are fabulous. You can make them with cocktail rye also. Wonderful, light, and easy for the kids to do as well! I only use part of the dry seasoning mix. They are SALTY but GOOOOOD.
