Made this over the weekend and it was a huge HIT at our family bbq! I sliced french bread (not cutting all the way thru) placed sliced fresh mozzarella between each slice, popped it in the oven for 5 minutes on 350, topped with this amazing recipe and sprinkled chopped macadamia nuts on top! AMAZING! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!

Great recipe! My husband and I devoured it! The only thing I did differently was toast it in a pan with butter and use one raw clove of garlic to rub over all the slices of bread before putting the topping on. I also think this would be a great dish to bring to someones home because you could transport it separately, putting the topping on once you arrived at your hosts home. Thanks for the recipe!

Really good! Like others, I added garlic powder (1/4 teaspoon). I mixed mine with hot orzo pasta and topped with Parmesan for a light summer dinner. Yum!

Excellent!!! Almost ate it all myself before I got it to the table! Roasted some garlic and rubbed it on french bread top with this and it’s perfect.

Cannot wait to try this with fresh garden tomatoes! I agree that the addition of garlic sounds even better…

This sounds like a great way to use up some of my fresh tomatoes!
