Description

There are very few things in life more satisfying than puppy chow. This puppy chow is tossed with sugar and cookie butter. It is the perfect snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon, Divided
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Ginger, Divided
  • ¼ teaspoons Fine Sea Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 8 cups Cinnamon Chex Cereal
  • 1-¼ cup White Chocolate Chips, Melted
  • ¾ cups Cookie Butter Or Spread (such As Biscoff)
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 5 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • ½ cups Seasonal Sprinkles

Preparation

In a large bowl, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, half of the ground cinnamon, half of the ground ginger, sea salt, nutmeg and ground cloves. Set aside.

In another large bowl, add the cinnamon Chex cereal. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine the melted white chocolate, cookie butter, maple syrup, butter and the other half of the ground cinnamon and ground ginger. Stir to combine. At this point the mixture should be thick enough that it coats the back of the spoon, but not so thick that it resembles a cookie dough. If you find that it is too thick, add more melted butter until it has reached a thinner consistency. Stir in the sprinkles and set aside.

Pour the butter mixture on top of the Chex cereal. Fold the ingredients together until each individual piece of cereal is coated.

In a large plastic zipped bag, add half of the Chex mixture and half of the confectioners’ sugar mixture. Close the bag tightly and shake the bag until each piece is coated. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to set.

Repeat the previous step one more time, with the other half of the Chex mixture and confectioners’ sugar mixture then add the mixture to the same baking sheet.

Once the puppy chow has set for about an hour, transfer to an airtight container where it will keep for a couple of weeks.
