Description

Need a simple snack that’s just slightly out of the ordinary? One that can serve a large group? My Parmesan snack mix might be just what you’re looking for!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Pretzels
  • 6 cups Corn Cereal Squares
  • 4 cups Oyster Crackers
  • 2 cups Pita Crackers, Broken
  • 1 can Salted Peanuts (12-oz. Can)
  • ½ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley, Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Parmesan Cheese (grated Or Shredded)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a very large container (I used my huge 11×17 baking pan) mix together pretzels, cereal, crackers and peanuts. Set aside.

In the microwave or in a small pan on the stove melt butter with olive oil. Once melted remove from heat. Add herbs and salt and mix together.

Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture and gently mix together. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and gently mix once more. Place mixture in a shallow layer in rimmed cookie sheet(s) or baking pan(s).

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and stir. Serve or store in a covered container.

Recipe adapted from one I located on “Look What Mom Found”.
