Description

Spicy, hot, and sweet. You won’t be able to stop at one.

Ingredients

  • 15 whole Jalapenos
  • 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 6 ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • 4 slices Bacon, Cooked And Crumbled
  • 1 cup Italian Flavored Croutons, Finely Ground

Preparation

Note: please wear plastic gloves when working with jalapenos, and do not touch your face.

Slice jalapenos in half and remove seeds and membranes from the jalapenos. Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 325ºF for 15 minutes to soften.

Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Tabasco, parsley, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until thoroughly combined and smooth. Add crumbled bacon and mix well.

Spoon filling into cooled jalapenos. Sprinkle with ground croutons, pressing into filling. Spray tops with canola oil.

Bake at 375ºF for 18-22 minutes, until topping has a golden brown crust. Serve warm.

Makes 30 appetizers.

Very yummy! Much better than the other type that has you wrap the bacon around the pepper. Better flavor, cooks evenly, less messy to eat. Will definitely make these again!
