Description

Crab rangoon lightened up in the oven. Easy to throw together.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces, weight Canned Lump Crab
  • 8 ounces, weight Light Cream Cheese
  • ¾ cups Green Onions, Chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 18 whole Wonton Wrappers

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 425ºF.
2. Spray the bottom of 2 baking sheets with cooking spray and set to the side.
3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the crab, cream cheese, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
4. Lay out 1 wonton on a baking sheet in the shape of a diamond.
5. Place one tablespoon of the crab mixture on the upper part of the diamond.
6. Brush a little bit of water on the top tip of the diamond.
7. Fold the bottom half of the wonton up over the top, and lightly press close into a triangle shape.
8. Continue the process with all of the wontons.
9. Spray the tops of the folded wontons with cooking spray before placing into the oven.
10. Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until golden brown.

These crab rangoon were a big hit! I made them pretty much according to the recipe, but cut the cream cheese in half and added some red pepper flakes. I also sprayed the finished rangoon with coconut oil spray. Yummy! I give it 4 mitts because the men agreed there was still too much cream cheese. It would be just as good, and less calories, with the cream cheese fourthed. Will definitely make again!
