Creamy, spicy poppers made right on your grill!

Ingredients

  • 10 whole Jalapeno Peppers
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
  • ¾ cups Finely Shredded Jack Cheese
  • 10 slices Bacon, Halved Widthwise

Preparation

1. Rinse and dry the jalapenos. Lop off the stems, then slice each one lengthwise down the middle. Remove the seeds.

2. Mix the cream cheese and jack cheese together with a fork. Fill each jalapeno half with some of the cream cheese mixture. Wrap each pepper with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

3. Preheat a gas grill to medium. Grill poppers for 3-4 minutes per side, until bacon is lightly browned. Serve immediately.

The first time I made these, I followed the recipe exactly and they were fantastic. The second time, I pre-cooked the bacon a bit and that helped to keep the peppers from losing all their filling on the grill while I waited for the bacon to cook. I cooked them on foil on the grill. Could not stop eating these. Thanks for sharing.

Rainydaygal this is a great recipe! Thank you for posting. We loved the poppers grilled instead of fried! A great summer treat. I think the poppers would be a perfect appetizer for a big group of people. The assembly was simple and the ingredients are inexpensive.
