Melt in your mouth hors d’oeuvre. Gooey, cheesy, what more could you want?
Slice loaf, drizzle slices with olive oil and toast.
Sauté shallots in 2 Tbs. olive oil for two minutes until softened, but not colored.
Add mushrooms, season and sauté for 2-3 minutes until tender.
Pour in wine and allow to bubble down until reduced by half.
Stir in cream and herbs.
Cook for a few minutes, stir in cheese and cook until melted.
Spoon over toasted bread slices.
Enjoy!
