If you want to hear your child say, “Mmmm, Brussels sprouts!” then cook these tonight! That’s what my three-year-old daughter said when she saw them on her plate last week! Both children and adults will declare their love for Brussels sprouts even if they think they don’t care for them!
Place Brussels sprouts in a covered microwavable dish and cook for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
While the sprouts are cooking, combine the chicken broth, butter, and brown sugar and simmer together for five minutes.
When the Brussels sprouts are done, cut them in half. This will help them absorb the buttery sugar flavor. Plus, they’re easier to eat this way!
Add the sprouts to the broth mixture or pour the broth over the sprouts. Season to your liking with black pepper and you’re done!
