Here’s a way to use up some of the squash from your garden. And it’s healthy, too!
Wash and slice yellow squash thinly. Mince basil leaves and finely chop onion. Melt butter or lard in a frying pan and add squash, onion, and basil. Sprinkle with seasonings. Saute till tender.

Hey, I love crookneck squash, but have never tried it with basil (which I also love). When I saute squash, I always let it get a little brown. This creates tons of great flavor. Thanks for the great idea!
