These easy Sweet Chili Sauteed Green Beans are the perfect vegetable side dish for holidays and family potlucks. The sweet and spicy chili sauce pairs perfectly with the bacon and onion to make these green beans a great substitute for your go-to green bean casserole.
Bring a large pan of salted water to boil. Add green beans and cook for 5–8 minutes until partially cooked. Drain and rinse under cold water or plunge into ice water to stop cooking process.
In a large skillet, saute bacon with onion until onion is translucent and bacon has rendered most of its fat.
Add sweet chili sauce to pan. Stir in green beans and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
