I PROMISE that even those who wouldn’t touch slaw before will love this coleslaw. It has such a sweet flavor that it goes well with all BBQ and will be gone before you know it.
In a lidded jar, shake together the half and half, vinegar, sugar, mayo, garlic, and salt until well blended.
Place grated cabbage and carrots in a large bowl, pour on dressing, toss together.
Chill at least an hour in the fridge before serving so flavors can blend.
Enjoy!

Found the dressing to be way too runny with the half and half. Ended up tossing the leftovers.

This coleslaw should be named Sweet and SOUR because 6 TBSPs of Cider Vinegar was too much! It only has 2 TBSP of mayo in it so it wasn’t that creamy, more of a runny, milky dressing. Still, it was good as in edible. I would recommend only 4 TBSP of cider vinegar.

This slaw was very good! When I make it next time though, I will probably cut down a little on the cider vinegar.

I quartered this recipe for my tiny family of four and it worked our really well. My husband thought it was really good, although the raw onion was a bit much for me. I’ll probably cut down on it next time. oh – and I added some pepper for an extra dimension.

Wonderfully different from the usual heavy salad dressing based slaw or the vinergar based slaw. Perfect side for BBQ. This is the slaw I’ve been hunting for for years and I’ve tried many. Thanks for a light tasty slaw thats is not too tart.
