A delicious twist on fresh picked green beans that is a burst of summer goodness in your mouth. It’s an excellent side!
In a large pot, bring 1 gallon salted water to a rolling boil. Add green beans and cook until al dente (7 to 10 minutes). Drain green beans and add garlic, basil, olive oil, and tomatoes. (Add the sugar if the tomatoes aren’t sweet enough.) Salt and pepper to taste. Add grated parmesan if desired.
Excellent cold or at room temperature. (Frozen beans and canned tomatoes work in a pinch.)
