Onions seasoned with garlic and butter. Easy to make in the microwave or on the grill.
We use one onion per person as a serving.
Microwave instructions:
Peel onions, place in a microwave-safe dish. Place half a tablespoon of butter on top of each onion, sprinkle garlic over the onions. Cover. Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until soft, let stand 2 minutes before serving. (If you increase the number of onions, you probably don’t want to increase the butter and garlic proportionally. Just spread them around and increase as necessary.)
Grilling instructions:
Peel onions, carve a small divot into the core of each onion. Place each onion on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap the onion. Place half a tablespoon of butter in the divot of each onion, sprinkle half a teaspoon of garlic on each onion. Pull aluminum foil up around onion and twist foil at the top to seal. Place onions on the grill over heat (not flame) for about 30 minutes until soft.
