Great to put on top of steak or chicken as a garnish but also great as a simple side.
This recipe is pretty flexible, and you can use pretty much all the ingredients to taste. That’s what’s great about it.
1. Peel and clean pearl onions. I used red onions, but you can use whatever type you like.
2. Melt butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat and when melted add in onions and seasonings including your thyme or whatever herb you’ve chosen (if any).
3. Cook on medium until the onions are soft and the butter has browned a bit on the onion.
4. Remove from heat and add as side to your dish or as a delicious garnish.
