Easy basic dish that can add flavor and texture to so many other dishes.
Rinse mushrooms and drain them. Slice or quarter the mushrooms, place them in a bowl, and season with sugar and salt.
Heat butter and oil over medium heat in a skillet, add mushrooms and cover the skillet. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
These go great with red meat, white meat, pototoes, or pasta. Use them as a filling for pierogis.
