Got a craving for refried beans? Make them in minutes with canned pinto beans and add-ins of your choice. Delicious!
1. In a pan over medium heat, melt the bacon fat (or whatever it is you’re using).
2. Empty half the can of beans into a bowl and mash with a fork until it becomes a thick paste.
3. Pour all the beans (mashed and whole) including liquid into the heated pan. Stir and mash occasionally until you reach your desired texture.
4. Add whatever other ingredients suit your palate. I really like a handful of shredded cheese (“Mexican” blend) and some jalapenos chopped very finely.
