This is a side dish that you can whip up in no time flat.
Cut your pancetta into small strips. Add 1 turn of olive oil into your pan and over medium-high heat, cook the pancetta until crispy. Remove and set aside. Add the butter into the pan and saute the onions until translucent. Once translucent, add the peas and approximately 1/4 cup of lukewarm water. Season with salt, mix well and simmer until peas are tender. Sprinkle the pancetta on top and gently mix through.
