Spaghetti squash doesn’t have to be scary to tackle. Here’s an easy step-by-step on how to cook the perfect squash. The perfect alternative to pasta in any dish!
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Split the squash in half from stem to bottom and scrape out seeds. Line a rimmed baking tray with aluminum foil. Season the flesh of the spaghetti squash with olive oil and salt. Place the halves into the pan flesh side down and roast for 30 minutes.
Here’s the trick … When done remove pan from oven and set it on a rack. Let the squash “steam” for about 15 minutes, flesh side down. Turn it back over and let it cool until you are able to handle it.
Scrape the flesh out with a large fork. Serve!
