This delicious family recipe is always a hit and cooked by the pound for all events. Crunchy, cheesy potatoes—what more could you ask for?!
Mix all of the ingredients, except for the corn flakes and the butter, together. Spread in a 9×13 pan.
Put the corn flakes in a plastic bag and crunch into small pieces using a kitchen hammer, rolling pin, or any weapon devised by your creativity. However, don’t overdo it. You don’t want crumbs, you want small pieces!
Sprinkle the corn flakes over the potato mixture. Pour the melted butter over the corn flakes.
Bake uncovered in a 325-degree oven for 1 hour. Let stand to cool. Serve, enjoy, and continue eating.

Made these last night to take to a cookout and they were a HIT! Delicious and sooooooooo easy to make! I’m so glad I brought them because the meat the men were preparing was awful….I would have starved! Thanks for submitting the recipe!

This is one of my favorite side dishes. Around here they are known as “funeral potatoes” because they are always made to go with the ham potluck to feed the family of the deceased.
