Ever wonder what to do with these yellow-colored beans that are showing up in bulk sections at markets? They naturally have a yummy beany taste.
1. Clean the beans and soak them in 6 cups of water for 4-8 hours. Or, quick soak them by boiling them for a minute, then letting them stand 1 hour. Drain the beans.
2. Cover the beans with 6 cups fresh water, add the fat and onion, and simmer until they are tender, about 1-2 hours. Season with salt and serve.
