Maple Mustard Braised Cabbage with Bacon & Bleu Cheese
Description
Sweet meets savory in this hearty, healthy side dish.
Ingredients
- 3 slices Center Cut Bacon, Diced
- 1 whole Red Onion, Sliced Vertically
- ½ cups Chicken Stock
- 2 Tablespoons Whole Grain Mustard
- 2 teaspoons Maple Syrup
- ½ heads Cabbage, Roughly Chopped
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 4 Tablespoons Bleu Cheese Crumbles
Preparation
1. Preheat skillet to medium-low. Add bacon and cook until it just begins to brown. Add sliced onion. Saute until onion softens (about 3-5 minutes).
2. Add chicken stock, mustard and maple syrup. Add cabbage, cover, and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Top with bleu cheese crumbles!
