This garlicky broccolini with lemon and red pepper flakes is super quick to prepare and makes a perfect, flavorful side dish. It’s simple enough for a weeknight side, but special enough to serve to guests.
Put a pot of water on the stove to boil, and heat a large skillet over medium-low heat. Wash broccolini and trim ends.
Add olive oil to skillet. Place broccolini in boiling water. Return to a boil and boil 2 minutes. One minute before broccolini is finished boiling, add garlic to skillet (garlic should be fragrant very quickly; if not, turn up the heat a little). Using tongs, transfer broccolini from the water to the skillet. Add salt and red pepper flakes, and sauté 4-5 minutes until tender. Squeeze lemon juice on top.
