An easy and delicious way to use garden fresh sweet corn.
Remove husks and wash corn; cut kernels from the cobs and place in a heavy iron skillet. Add the butter, milk, water, sugar, ground red pepper, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium-high heat for approximately 15 minutes (add more water, if necessary).
In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water until fully dissolved; pour over corn. Cook a few minutes more until the liquid begins to thicken. Add more salt and pepper, if desired.

My Mom is from the South and makes this all the time! She could never tell me a recipe tho since she just now naturally knows what to do. Thanks!
