My grandmother’s recipe.
Bring water to a boil. Add water to corn meal, salt, and shortening. Cool, then add milk and beaten eggs.
Mix well. Pour into a greased baking dish and bake at 400ºF for 60 minutes.

This recipe sounds very interesting, unlike anything I’ve ever made. Can you give me some idea of what it’s like? Is it a corn bread, or a polenta, or something totally different? I’m intrigued.
