10 minutes to prep super easy mashed potatoes. Fluffy and creamy mashed potatoes sprinkled with pepper and cheese.
First, fill the Instant Pot with water and place the steamer into the pot. Add the quartered potatoes in the steamer. Close and cook at high pressure for 8 minutes, then use the quick release method to release the steam.
Heat up a saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter. Add garlic and kosher salt, saute garlic until fragrant. Then add milk into the pan and deglaze. Remove mixture from the pan.
Open the Instant Pot. Mash the potatoes in a mixing bowl. Add half of the garlic butter to the bowl. Continue to mash and stir until desired consistency. Add cheese and season with salt and pepper.
