Description

This simple recipe packs easily for camping and is simple to put together in your outdoor, campground kitchen (picnic table & fire ring).

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Medium Potatoes Scrubbed And Cubed (1/2" Cubes)
  • 1 package Dry Onion Soup Mix, 2 Ounce Package
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil

Preparation

Heat 32-34 (you might want a few extra if it is a windy day) coals.

Combine all ingredients in a 10″ camp Dutch oven. Put the Dutch oven into your fire pit. Cook with 20 coals on top and 12 coals on bottom for 35-40 minutes. After 15 minutes of cooking, quickly lift the lid, give the potatoes a quick stir, and replace the lid and allow it to continue cooking for the entire 35-40 minutes. Then dig in!
