Green bean casserole is one of the most classic and well loved side dishes on the holiday dinner table. But because the oven is usually already taken with the turkey and other casseroles, this classic green bean casserole is made in the crock-pot. It is still the same creamy green bean casserole with a crispy french fried onion topping that you remember.
In a greased crockpot, mix drained green beans with cream of mushroom soup, milk salt, pepper and half of the french fried onions. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours. During the last hour of cooking time, top with remaining french fried onions.
