Description

I generally make mashed potatoes the way my mother always did, whipped with butter and a little milk, salt and pepper. Perfection—well, I thought so until I made these mashed potatoes. They are so creamy and delicious, I will never make my “plain” ones again!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Mashed Potatoes (7-8 Medium Potatoes)
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper

Preparation

Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Place in a sauce pan covered with water and boil the potatoes covered in water until they are soft all the way through. Remove from heat and drain completely. Return to the warm sauce pot and mash with a potato masher or the mixer beater blades before adding other ingredients, to break up the potatoes into smaller pieces.

Add the butter and stir it around until it is melted. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly with the mixer until your potatoes are completely creamy!

We love these rich-tasting potatoes and its the only way I make them now (unless I’m in a hurry and make instant potatoes– which my family doesn’t like now). Simple ingredients I generally have on hand make for big taste. Thanks for posting!
