This slightly sweet casserole would make a great holiday weekend breakfast side with leftover ham or some freshly cooked bacon! I topped mine with a little butter and real bacon bits but the vegetarians in the family ate it straight up!
Add the salt to the water and bring to a rapid boil. Stir in the grits, simmer until cooked. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour into a buttered 9×11 casserole dish and bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes.
