Country Creamed Corn
Description
This recipe will make you never want to go back to canned corn again!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- ¼ cups Chopped Green Onion (or Finely Chopped Regular Onion)
- 16 ounces, weight Frozen Or Fresh Corn
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- ½ cups Milk
- ¼ cups Water
- ¼ teaspoons Each, Salt And Pepper
Preparation
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and saute for about 2-3 minutes, or until tender. Stir in corn; cover the skillet and cook about 5 minutes until heated. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Stir this into the corn, and bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for about 2 minutes or until thickened. Serves 6.
