The first kohlrabi recipe for Tasty Kitchen! Caramelized kohlrabi with a hint of cinnamon.
1.) Slice off the outer layers of each bulb until you have 3 rough-looking bulbs.
2.) In a pan, melt butter on medium-high heat.
3.) While pan is heating, cut each bulb into 1-inch chunks.
4.) Add chunks to pan and let cook for 2 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt.
5.) After chunks heat up, go ahead and sprinkle sugar over the top and let the chunks caramelize for about 6 to 7 minutes. (Note: Chunks will still be a bit crunchy—they won’t get soft like a potato.)
6.) After your kohlrabi has caramelized, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top.
7.) Enjoy!

I made this today. The sugar and cinnamon are way too subtle. It tasted OK but needed more everything. Having said that, even as minimal as the caramel and cinnamon were, Mister sat and ate this like popcorn.
