Description

Add a zing to twice-baked potatoes by adding buttermilk and ranch dressing mix. Your family will love you for it!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • ⅔ cups Real Bacon Bits
  • 2 whole Green Onions, Chopped
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • ½ cups Buttermilk
  • 1 envelope Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 7 whole Or Whole Medium-sized Potatoes

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Bake potatoes directly on the oven rack (no pan) for an hour. Check for doneness by inserting a fork. It should come out easily.

For filling, mix the rest of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

When potatoes are done, slice them in half lengthwise, scooping out the innards, but leaving a bit for support. Put potato insides into the filling mixture. Mash with a potato masher until pretty creamy. Spoon back into potato shells and bake for 15 minutes in a 375ºF oven.

Remove and enjoy!

Thanks for showing that you can use ranch dressing in twice baked potatoes, I swear that my local BBQ joint must be adding ranch dressing.

I made these tonight. I didn’t measure the ingredients (I just dumped) and I added garlic powder and used seasoned salt instead of regular salt and they were beyond!!!!!!!! I think this is a no fail potato recipe. I think next time I might try to use this for regular mashed potatoes. SOOO delicious!! Thanks for sharing!!
