Description
This is an old church potluck recipe that’s been around forever. It makes a LOT and I’ve never been able to figure out how to cut it down, so invite a bunch of folks over for dinner and enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1-½ pound Pork Sausage
- 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 31 ounces, weight Can Pork & Beans
- 16 ounces, weight Can Kidney Beans, Drained
- 15 ounces, weight Can Great Northern Beans, Drained
- 15 ounces, weight Can Black-eyed Peas, Drained
- 15 ounces, weight Can Pinto Beans, Drained
- 15 ounces, weight Can Garbanzo Beans (chick Peas), Drained
- 1-½ cup Catsup
- ¾ cups Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Ground Mustard
Preparation
Brown the sausage, and then add green pepper and onion; sauté until tender. Drain grease, add to remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into greased 9×13 pan. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 30 min. longer.
