Green beans and bacon, simmered in velvety beef consomme. What’s not to like?
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Cut bacon in half to make short strips. Wrap 1-inch bundles of green beans with bacon. Secure with a toothpick if you like, but I just set them down with the seams facing down.
Place in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour remaining ingredients over the beans. Season with salt and pepper. The soups are rich, so you won’t need much salt. Bake for 30 minutes. Turn oven to broil and crisp the bacon.
Serve hot. Accept compliments.
