Description

Baking the corn this way gives a great flavor and texture to the corn, and brings out the sweetness too.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole Ears Of Corn, Shucked
  • ½ sticks Unsalted Butter, Cold
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Tear off 12 squares of tinfoil, big enough to hold your corn cobs.

For each ear of corn, rub the cold butter all over each one. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and then roll up in the tinfoil to seal it all in.

Bake for about 15 minutes. The time on this can be adjusted based on your own oven and tastes, but this time and temperature is what we like the best.

Allowing the corn to sit in the tinfoil for a little while after they’re done cooking helps improve the flavor as well.

I love making these earlier in the day and just leaving them until just before dinner. Letting them sit in the foil for a little while makes them even better, if that’s at all possible.

Thanks for the reviews

I made my corn this way last night, I don’t think I will every go back to boiling again! Perfectly cooked, delicious, and easier!

This looks like it could save me time getting the dinner to the table. You don’t have to boil the water and cook the corn. Just pop em’ in the oven and in 15 or so minutes it is all done. Great idea!

That’s the way I’ve made my sweet corn for a few years now. It’s absolutely fantastic.
