Coating that is simple and delicious. I mostly use it for chicken. Like all of my recipes, I got this one from a great cook who happens to be in my family.
Mix the corn flakes, cheese, and ranch dressing mix together. Melt butter. Dip fish or pork chops or chicken in the butter then in the mix. Bake at 325ºF for 20 minutes for the fish or 30–40 minutes for chicken or pork, until done.
For chicken I bake it at 375ºF to get it done faster but it works either way. I buy the dry ranch dressing in a large container so I don’t measure the dressing exactly. You could play around with the amounts to suit your taste.
